Welcome to the CRRA Standards and Best Practices Wiki

This is a one stop resource for best practices and standards as they relate to digitization of materials by CRRA members. Whether you're just starting your first project, or are an old hand, these resources have been synthesized and gathered into one place for your convenience.

Please note:  this is very much a work-in-progress, and we welcome your comments and suggestions at any time.

About the CRRA

The Catholic Research Resources Alliance (CRRA) is a not-for-profit membership alliance of institutions colllaborating to deliver projects and services in support of its mission "to provide enduring global access to Catholic research resources in the Americas."

CRRA projects include the Catholic Portal and the Catholic Newspapers Program.  The portal provides access to and discovery of rare and unique Catholic scholarly materials, in all formats.  The Catholic Newspapers Program aims to identify all extant North American Catholic newspapers and to encourage collaborative digitization initiatives.
